Man Airlifted after Rollover UTV Accident on San Miguelito Road [Lompoc, CA] Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Crash near Sudden RoadLOMPOC, CA (October 17, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, one victim was airlifted following a UTV rollover incident on San Miguelito Road.Police arrived at the scene at approximately 1:57 p.m., located in the 4800 block of San Miguelito Road near Sudden Road.Per reports, the operator of a Utility Task Vehicle lost control which resulted in a rollover. Amidst the chaos, the UTV then ended up on top of the driver. Colleagues of the victim utilized a water tender and a chain to lift the UTV off the seriously injured person.Medical responders airlifted the injured individual to Marian Medical Center using Calstar Air. Two other individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that were not specified.Officers in Lompoc are actively working to determine further circumstances surrounding the UTV accident. Oakland man charged with crashing stolen Lexus, killing two East Bay residents OAKLAND — A city resident who allegedly crashed a stolen Lexus into two other vehicles, killing a man and woman in their 60s, has been charged with six felonies, court records show.Patrick Nickerson, 25, of Oakland, was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, as well as reckless driving causing injury, leaving the scene of an accident, and multiple counts of having a stolen vehicle. Police say that after the crash, Nickerson ran a short distance and tried to hide in a nearby yard, but officers quickly located him.The crash occurred on the morning of Sept. 24, in Oakland city streets.
